Mission Statement
Youth Action Services, Inc. empowers children and families within the NYC Municipal Shelter System by addressing social, emotional, academic, and economic needs. Through our After-School Enrichment Program and community partnerships, we provide consistent academic support, social-emotional learning, and mentorship, creating safe and nurturing environments where youth can thrive.

By offering comprehensive programs - including tutoring, creative enrichment, mentorship, and family engagement - YAS fosters growth, confidence, and resilience, ensuring youth are supported today and prepared for tomorrow.

What We Do

• Operate an After-School Enrichment Program serving children ages 7–15

• Provide structured homework support, tutoring, and social-emotional learning

• Engage families to reinforce positive student outcomes and community connection

• Partner with local organizations to create awareness, fundraise, and expand support
